Reporting
There
are as many ways to get useful information out of the Yard Boss
database as there are types of information requirements. Access
to the Report Boss interface can be combined with other Yard Boss
privileges, or granted as a separate permission for managers who
only access the data for reporting purposes.
For
key management reports, there's Report Boss, accessible as either
a desktop or web-enabled application. ALDATA's Report Boss combines
the power and presentation of reporting tools like Seagate Crystal
Reports and MS Excel Pivot Tables with easy-to-use "filter windows"
that allow the user to set their own selection criteria (e.g.
date range or contract number) for the report.
Users
can view and print reports, or save them as .pdf or Excel files.
Custom
Reports
The
Yard Boss database is an open database, allowing knowledgeable
report writers to create custom reports using Crystal Reports,
Access or other reporting tools. With all data in a single database,
following a standard naming convention, reports are easier to
create than from multiple databases with differing field names.
Display
Grids
Yard Boss users can sort and search within all grids in the Yard
Boss application (e.g.on the loads table for a given date range.)
The data in each of the grids can be exported, or cut/pasted to
Excel, to allow for ad hoc reporting and analysis.
